I can hardly believe it’s February. Seems like just yesterday that I was setting and then immediately breaking new year’s resolutions after failing to pull on New Year’s Eve.
But it is February, and as winter finally appears to be setting in – and the University Challenge final is just around the corner (keep an eye on Manchester, Burke – quite remarkable), So So Gay is turning its mind to families and relationships.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’ll be debating whether it really is the most evil day of the year – as well as giving you suggestions for alternative things to do to avoid the big day itself. We’ll also be looking at the pros and cons of open relationships as well as finding about more about polyamourous relationships in the UK.
In addition, we’ll be marking LGBT Adoption & Fostering Week with interviews with adoptive parents – and we’ll be finding out about the charities that support friends and families of LGBT people.
Do you remember your first kiss? Was it the most special and romantic moment of your life, like in all the movies, or was it awkward, forced and involving way too much teeth, like mine. This month our writers will be sharing their experiences and we’d love to hear about yours – maybe he or she is still the love of your life?
I never miss an opportunity for jazz hands
Plus, of course, February is LGBT History Month – and we’ll be using the You Should Know About series to highlight a few more LGBT Heroes to go with last year’s series (which is well worth another read).
Have a great month, enjoy the snow that will inevitably bring the country to a halt, and maybe share a little romance with us at So So Gay
