Our writers share their coming out stories | So So Gay magazine

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints isn’t normally the subject of so much of our attention, but recently it seems you can’t turn around without coming across a gay Mormon production.

Not only are TLA Select releasing the critically acclaimed film Latter Days on Blu-ray but the London production of Confessions of a Mormon Boy is receiving much praise from all quarters (we gave it three stars it last week, and interviewed writer and star Steven Fales in August)

Latter Days is a romantic drama that combines laughs, seduction and tears with plenty of romance. Handsome Aaron (Steve Sandvoss), a Mormon missionary, travels door-to-door in Los Angeles spreading the word of his religion. Christian (Wes Ramsey), a cute West Hollywood party boy, goes from man to man without much commitment. Opposites will soon attract when Aaron and Christian meet and sparks begin to fly. The film also features Mary Kay Place, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and international screen legend Jacqueline Bisset.

Confessions of a Mormon Boy recounts how Steven Fales went from being the perfect Mormon boy in Utah to a high-priced call boy in New York City. The provocative true story takes the audience from his Mormon mission to Portugal, through excommunication, divorce, prostitution and crystal meth addiction as he struggles to reclaim himself, his two children and his ‘Donny Osmond smile’.

We’re offering you the chance to win a pair of tickets to see the show and a copy of the Blu-ray. All you have to do is enter your details below before noon on Saturday 17 September.
