New comedy night to showcase gay comedians

Robert White

A new monthly comedy night is being launched in London’s west end this month, with the emphasis on showcasing new established lesbian, gay and bisexual comics. The Comedy Closet will take place on the second Sunday of each month at the Comedy Pub, Oxenden Street, hosted by award winning musical comedian Robert White (pictured left, and interviewed by So So Gay earlier this year).

Described as a straight-friendly, the night will also offer an opportunity to show case the best musical and character comedy acts. Open slots will be made available for emerging LGB talent on the comedy circuit.

The launch night will include circuit favourites including Carly Smallman, Keith Platt, Stephen Bailey and Danny Hurst.

Doors open at 7.00pm, with the show starting at 8.00, and tickets cost just £5 (£4 for concessions). For more information or to buy tickets visit We Got Tickets or go to Robert White’s facebook page.
