Britney Spears’ new single leaks online

Hold It Against Me - Single Cover

Here it is, the first high profile release of the year. Britney Spears’ new single ‘Hold It Against Me’, from her much anticipated seventh album, has leaked online. The so far untitled album is being produced by Max Martin and Dr Luke, who recently stated he wanted the album to “get harder”. ‘Hold It Against Me’ certainly delivers this with Britney’s sugar-sweet vocals backed up with dark industrial beats. While it lacks an obvious hook like previous hits ‘Womanizer’ and ‘Toxic’, it’s certainly catchy.

The track is due for release in the US on 11 January, but won’t be released over here in the UK until 20 February.
