Stonewall tells gay teens that It Gets Better Today!

stonewall

Stonewall have latched onto the It Gets Better campaign, with a bit of a twist to the message. Rather than telling people that at some point, things improve, they’ve appended “… today” to the message, in the hope that they can convince school goers that their lives don’t have to be difficult and support is available.

In the UK, unlike the US, gay people have the right to serve in the military, we have civil partnerships (though not full marriage equality, something Stonewall is very aware of) and laws to prevent bullying someone for their sexual orientation. This campaign will hopefully reassure people that if they do face any sort of discrimination there is action they can take.
