Joe McElderry – Officially a gay!

Source: Daily Mail

While it had been suspected for sometime throughout his appearance on the X Factor, Joe McElderry has officially declared he is gay in an interview with the Daily Mail.

Throughout his time on X Factor and the period following it, Joe refused to be drawn into conversation that his sexuality was anything but straight.

Joe revealed that his Twitter account was hacked by pranksters who announced that he was gay. It was this incident that prompted Joe to reconsider both his sexuality and the public’s knowledge of this.

“I’m feeling good about it, it’s liberating. Now I can just get on with my life.” Joe said. Of course, a few years earlier Will Young took a very similar turn after winning the first series of Pop Idol.

Joe admitted kissing a boy prior to entering the X Factor competition.

So, let’s get down to the basics… He’s cute, sings like an angel…and now is a gay!

I’ll be front row centre when he performs his next single at G-A-Y.
