Beautiful People series 2

It was great to see the second series of Beautiful People on BBC2 last night.

beautifulpeople

I think this is one of the funniest shows on the BBC at the moment.  It’s a shame it’s very ‘cult’ish, I can’t imagine it gets a huge audience but is one that people who know of it will get on DVD & watch for years down the line.

I thought the first ep was much funnier than most of the first series.  It feels like the production is a lot tighter now. I’m still not sure why we see the characters ‘now’ reflecting back on the ‘then’ at the start and end of the episode, unless there is going to be an actual storyline set in the present day in the future.

I’m looking forward to the rest of this series and hope it gets a bit more recognition!

Series Two comes out on DVD on 4th January 2010 - it's already at the top of my Christmas wish-list! Pleased they're getting it out so quickly!

Last night's episode was the funniest thing I've seen this year... Auntie Hayley stole the show I think - the braille smut and the groping won me over heh!

Thanks DarkAeon - it'll be on my wish list too!
